RepoTest
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how FamIT Solutions and Technologies LLC (“FamIT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use RepoTest, our native macOS application for running automated tests from repositories you choose (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who we are
The App is offered by FamIT Solutions and Technologies LLC.
- Legal entity: FamIT Solutions and Technologies LLC
- Product: RepoTest (macOS)
- Privacy inquiries: privacy@famitsnt.com
- Support: support@famitsnt.com
2. Summary
RepoTest is designed to run tests on your Mac against folders you select. We do not operate a user account system, analytics platform, or custom subscription receipt server for the App. Most data the App uses stays on your device. Subscription purchases and renewals are processed by Apple through the Mac App Store.
3. Information we do not collect directly
We do not ask you to create a FamIT account to use RepoTest. We do not collect:
- Name, postal address, or phone number through the App
- Email address through the App (unless you contact us voluntarily)
- Contents of your source code, test code, or repositories through our servers (we have no such servers for test execution)
- Usage analytics or advertising identifiers through third-party analytics SDKs in the App
4. Information stored on your device
The App stores data locally so it can remember your projects, show run history, and display test results and artifacts. Depending on how you use the App, this may include:
- Project access: Security-scoped bookmarks and paths to folders you choose, plus a list of recently opened repositories
- Preferences: Settings such as Playwright capture options, stored in macOS UserDefaults
- Run history: Metadata about past test runs, console logs, and parsed results under
~/Library/Application Support/RepoTest/(or the equivalent Application Support location for the App) - Reports and artifacts: Output from your test scripts (for example Playwright HTML reports, screenshots, traces, and videos) when your project or the App saves them under Application Support or paths defined by your repository
- Optional Xcode path: If you select a custom Xcode installation, a bookmark to that location may be stored locally
You can remove much of this data from within the App (for example clearing run history or storage usage) or by deleting files in Application Support. Uninstalling the App does not automatically delete Application Support data unless you remove it separately.
5. Test execution and your repositories
When you run tests, the App launches your project’s scripts (for example scripts/test.sh)
on your Mac. Test output, dependencies, and any data touched during tests are governed by your own
project, tools, and environments—not by FamIT’s servers. You are responsible for ensuring you have
the right to use the folders and data you point the App at.
6. Subscriptions and purchases
RepoTest offers optional RepoTest Pro subscriptions through Apple’s In-App Purchase system on the Mac App Store. When you subscribe:
- Payment, billing, and refund requests are handled by Apple, not FamIT
- Subscription status is verified on your device using Apple StoreKit 2
- We do not operate a custom receipt-validation server for the App
Apple may collect personal and payment information according to Apple’s Privacy Policy. FamIT receives only what Apple provides in the context of the purchase (such as entitlement status on-device), not your full payment card details.
7. Network activity
The App’s network use is limited:
- Apple services: Communicating with Apple for subscription products, purchases, and entitlement updates
- Local HTTP server: A localhost server may serve Playwright HTML reports and related assets from your machine for in-app viewing; this traffic does not leave your device unless you explicitly open external links
- User-initiated links: The App may open documentation or install pages you choose (for example Node.js, Homebrew, or Flutter sites) in your default browser
We do not sell your personal information.
8. Third parties
Third parties involved in the App experience include:
- Apple Inc. — Mac App Store distribution, payments, and subscription management
- Your tooling — Node, npm, Playwright, Flutter, simulators, and other software you install separately, each with its own terms and privacy practices
We do not share your on-device test data with advertisers or data brokers.
9. Children’s privacy
RepoTest is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at privacy@famitsnt.com and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Security
Because data is primarily stored and processed on your Mac, its security depends on your device, macOS account, disk encryption, and physical access controls. Keep your Mac and Apple ID secure. We encourage using current macOS versions and only opening project folders you trust.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information. Because RepoTest stores most information locally:
- You can delete run history and related files from the App or from Application Support
- You can manage subscriptions in System Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases, or the Mac App Store account settings
- You can contact us at privacy@famitsnt.com for privacy questions
Residents of certain regions (including the EEA, UK, and California) may have additional rights under applicable law. We will respond to verified requests as required by law.
12. International users
The App is operated from the United States. If you use the App from other countries, your information may be processed on your device locally and, for subscriptions, by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or on our support page where appropriate. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
